Union Memorabilia
Located on the west coast of India, Gujarat is a well developed industrial sate of India. It is limited by the state of Rajasthan, north-east, Madhya Pradesh, the east and Maharashtra and the Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli in the south. That shares its border with Mexico to the north-west and the Arabian Sea extends on the west coast. Its rich history, heritage and culture along with the natural beauty of lush forests, sandy beaches and wildlife make it one of the most requested of India. It is also the birthplace of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi and so one of the major centers for the liberation struggle in India.
Travel Attractions in Gujarat
Sasangir
Internationally recognized as the sole survivor the habitat of the Asiatic Lion, Sasan Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is located about 65 km southeast of the small town of Junagadh in Gujarat. The reserve was created in 1913 and was designated a sanctuary in 1965 with the sole purpose of safeguarding one of the world's most endangered species. Today, proudly claims to be the home nearly 300 Asiatic lions. The sanctuary is spread over a large area of about 1412 square kilometers, with a protected core area of 258 square kilometers, which is the national park. In addition to its more sheltered residents, the reserve is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. The terrain here is marked by hills rocky and many streams in a type of deciduous forest full of teak, acacia, jamun trees and Dhaka.
Sabarmati Ashram
The Ahmedabad is the main attraction at the Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi on the banks of Sabarmati river, from where he started the famous 'Dandi March'. Introducing the ashram have memories of him in a museum.
Dwarka:
The holy city of Dwarka in the convergence of Gorriti river and the Arabian Sea is related to the myth of Lord Krishna.
Bhuj
The old town of Bhuj reconstructs his past in the times of the civilization of Indus Valley and now serves as the entry of Kutch.
Somnath Temple: - The most famous temple of Gujarat is one of 12 Jyotiralingas. The temple was looted and destroyed 7 times by Muslim invaders, but rebuilt in the same place all the time.
Champaner: - The capital of the Old Sultan Mahmoud Bagh is located in the foothills of Pavagadh. Jama Masjid in Champaner is a must see place for tourists.
